A Dreamboats Birthday.....oh my gosh I love boy babies...

When the ultra sounds tech told me "its a boy" I must admit I was a little shocked, I had only every imagined myself with girl babies, I'm from girls...I'm over the top fluffy and have no idea what to do with the male gender. Although I was happy to get one of each I had no idea what I was in for until they put that sweet baby boy in my arms....LOVE LOVE LOVE....DEEP DEEP LOVE!! It was different than with Caroline, I was holding a boy, who would one day be a man. I so desire my son Caldwell to have a heart after God, to desire to please God with all His heart, soul and might..if this happens, he will be a man, a man worth seeing and hearing. Caldwell has been a delight to our family this year, such an easy baby with tons of smiles and cuddles, gorgeous eyes that see right to your soul. I would not trade 100 girls for him, a good and perfect gift from above. His 1rst birthday symbolizes him...a man on the move...weather that be wagon or feet he is ready to take life on!!! We love you sweet little handsome's!!!!

Caroline's Paris Birthday...in the barn......

Caroline's birthday party happened exactly 12.5 hours after being home from the beach....CRAZY...Each year I have said I am going to "keep it simple" now that term is so very relative. Our family loves France and all things french....the food, the wine, the country, the fashion and the Poodles!! My mother is practically the grown version of "Fancy Nancy" if you have a little girl you know exactly what I am talking about. I figured that I only had this last year to convince my sweet baby girl of the theme she "wanted to have" before I give into the classic princess party or Dora the Explorer. She has always loved my mom's poodles and I thought...BRILLIANT!!! A french poodle party. So complete with French music, food, an art project and REAL Poodles the day was wonderful (hot..but very very wonderful). There is something so fun about watching a socialite child (she comes by it so very honestly) delight in seeing each of her friends come to the party and enjoy themselves!!! So Bonjour!! Welcome to "Caroline's France in our Party Barn"

Summer loving fun!

Have you ever just really dreamed about something? Like months in advanced thought about and event, something you are really really looking forward too? Well...I had one of those events.....last year at our house I built a house, had a baby, moved and spent the entire year trying to get my act together. There has not been a lot of time to relax and do nothing, because there is simply something to do all the time. However, I planned a beach trip for my family (including my parents) to gorgeous 30A...Alys Beach. It was great and exhausting all in the same breath. Caroline loved the beach, the pool and the endless nights of movies, sleeping in a new bed, a birthday family party at the beach complete with pin the tale on the donkey, attention from her honey and pops and just tons of plain ole fun for a three year old. My parents enjoyed (as they should) their grands and all the beach fun! As for the big guy....well he spent most of his time helping me keep an eye on our precious almost 1 year old who was scaling our very non child proof beach house. (note to self...never rent a home that was not made for babies, it can be very very stressful....none the less gorgeous). As for me....I had a great time watching my family have a lot of fun, however...let me just say that beach can be hard with little ones. But, over all there is something to be said for just getting away, loving on your family day in and out and just living instead of working hard at home!!! So here to the beach, family and summer fun!
